F. ALAN ‘BUD’ FRICK
Following a 60-year, international career in the chemical engineering and petroleum industries, Mr. Frick designed and patented H.E.D. Environmental Systems upon recognizing a need for such services in the oilfield service sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, and a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Through the decades of his professional career, he has been involved in many phases of the business from plant-start up to developing various technologies for industry application. Five years after Mr. Frick’s retirement, he became increasingly interested in solving some of the environmental and safety problems confronting oilfield exploration and production. The result of his interest was one patent received and three additional patents pending, covering devices and processes for several niche problems within the industry. These patents are the backbone of knowledge for the four systems H.E.D. currently has in production, and this quest became the driver to launch H.E.D. Environmental Systems, Inc., his latest venture.
Mr. Hendrix brings a background in Finance and General Business Studies. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics with concentration in finance and real estate. Following his time at Texas A&M, Mr. Hendrix attended The University of Houston to earn his Masters in Business Administration. While tending to his education he engaged in internships in several different industries, including commercial real estate, law, and residential real estate. His final internship was at a specialty fabrication shop where he met Mr. Frick. Mr. Hendrix joined H.E.D. Environmental Systems and works in managing internal day-to-day operations.
